“Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.” — Darren Hardy
I’ve coached hundreds of agents with talent to spare who never broke through, and the pattern is always the same: brilliant weeks followed by disappearing ones. Consistency, not talent, is the actual separator. Aristotle said it a very long time before real estate existed: “We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then is not an act but a habit.”
If someone tracked your last 90 days, would “consistent” be the word they’d use?
Three Keys to Consistency
Feeling this one? You don’t have to figure it out alone — book a free High Performance Call and let’s talk through where you’re at.
- Purpose and passion. Brian Tracy put it well: “All successful people are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be; ideal in every respect, then they work every day toward their distant vision and that goal and purpose.” Without a real why, daily discipline has nothing to anchor to.
- Organisational focus. The chain runs simply: organisation builds structure, structure builds routine, routine builds focus, and focus builds consistency. Skip a link, and the chain breaks.
- The power of perception. Oprah Winfrey’s line applies directly here: “Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” How you frame a slow week determines whether you stay consistent through it.
Take action: David Rock’s research found most people genuinely focus only about 6 hours a week. Track your actual focused hours this week and see how close you come.
Anthony Robbins said it plainly: “It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.” This is High Performance distilled to its simplest form — not more talent, more consistency.
